Fairy Tales Remembered

Why has the fairy tale lasted so long? Since ancient times the fairy tale has been passed down through generations. Children as well as adults like to see evil punished and good rewarded.

Readers are held spellbound when they enter the world of fantasy, magic, and mystery. Most children grow up remembering who the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen were. They remember the name of the tales, as well as the authors who wrote them.

Who could ever forget the fun times of reading Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast? Some fairy tales are so old they have no known author, for they were wrote or told about many centuries ago. Stories about knights, kings, princesses, and queens will live on forever. Who doesn't know the story of King Arthur? In America, favorites such as Uncle Remus and Hiawatha are still popular today.
